- Why a platform on indoor air quality?
Indoor Air Quality Challenges
Indoor air quality (IAQ) is a health and wellness concern. We spend nearly 90% of our time in enclosed spaces: homes, offices, hotels... As a result, our bodies are constantly exposed to various pollutants (furniture, coatings, etc.) or health threats that are present or transmitted by the ambient air.
The impacts of poor IAQ are well known: pathologies of the respiratory system, headaches, fatigue, nausea etc. On the other hand, good air quality has a positive impact on people: better productivity, feeling of well-being, etc.
The global health crisis that began in 2020 has given new prominence to these issues. In this context, IAQ will receive increased attention, particularly from users, owners and operators.
The "Air Quality Challenge" call for projects is launched with the aim of finding new and innovative solutions in the field of IAQ monitoring and measurement, while having a positive impact on the energy consumption of buildings. Indeed, these two issues are often difficult to reconcile, hence the importance of thinking about innovations that will make it possible to reconcile these two topics.
